Startup Weekend Conejo Valley 2015 Recap #SWConejo

Startup Weekend Conejo Valley took place May 1-3rd 2015 at Huddle Campus in Westlake Village. It was organized by my dear friends Soan , Daniel , and myself . When asked to be a part of the organizing team I was excited. Helping ideas is my true passion.

As organizers, Startup Weekend provided us great tools are resources to keep us on track and ensure we were doing thing right.

After months of promoting it, the weekend came. Friday night we have close to 80 people in the room, with most of the participants pitching ideas.

Here is a cool video one of our participants, Blake Murphy put together for his Vlog

Special shout out to Figueroa Mountain Brewery for providing us with delicious beer made locally in the Conejo Valley.

Viva La Film put together an incredible video recapping the weekend for us!

Lankford Art in Westlake Village printed us up some really cool startup Weekend t-shirts for the weekend.

We tallied up the votes over dinner and the teams for Startup Weekend Conejo Valley were:

True Noon

The energy quickly became a scramble to put teams together, getting supplies (provided by 3M) and claim a spot at Huddle Campus for the weekend.

Once teams assembled we were quickly impressed by True Noon for talking their Business model Canvas their 1st priority.
Friday night went until 2 am and off we were to rest up for the following day.

Saturday morning kicked off with breakfast and teams immediately got to work. After a long day we decided a stretch and super hero pose was due.
Cant have a party without a relay race =)
Teams got back to work after lunch building prototypes and websites, the energy was pumping all day well into 3 am.

Sunday morning we had participants waiting at the door get get back to work. By sunday mid morning most of the teams started their demos, rehearsed their presentations and kept building.
Our Judges for the evening were Ned Davis-Mayor of Westlake Village, Renne Rock-Winner of the MIT Business Boot Camp, and Evan Forster, Founder of Huddle Campus.
All the teams nailed their presentations
